My name is Elli. I'm of Uruguayan descent and was born and raised in Sydney. I began dancing at the young age of 8, having performed and/or instructed with a diverse range of dance schools. Among these are M & E Guerrero Folkloric Group, Graciela Yoga Dance School, Latin Fusion, LDA, Club Havana and currently Latin Steps Dance Company (Brisbane).
Having also trained in New York, Miami and Canada, I have been able to incorporate the many different styles of salsa in my dancing. While also having trained in jazz ballet, theatre dance, tango, and Brazilian dance, my passion for salsa is foremost.
I love dancing, perfoming and creating incredible moments on the dance floor. I enjoy fusing different dance styles.
Now dancing with Brisbane’s salsa great Carlos Galiano, our focus is to continue to inspire our salsa students and to deliver outstanding performances. Recent highlights have been teaching at the Sydney Salsa Congress 2006 & 2007, representing Australia at the Spain Salsa Festival in Barcelona (2006) and invitations to perform and teach in numerous Australian cities.
